Mountain Dew partners with Dignitas, Splyce, and SK Gaming

The company has a lot of esports plans going on.
Sam Bishop 7 juin 2017

Soft drink company Mountain Dew has announced that it has partnered with three esports organisations, Team Dignitas, Splyce, and SK Gaming, to "provide gamers around the globe with exclusive content and access to some of the best gamers and esports celebrities in the world via the Mountain Dew Twitch channel."

"We are excited to expand our support of esports through these partnerships with three world-class teams," said Manos Spanos, global senior marketing director at Mountain Dew. "Industry-first partnerships and authentic integrations that align with core Mountain Dew values and resonate with gamers and Dew Nation will continue to inspire us as a business."

Mountain Dew currently has its Mountain Dew League to help amateur gamers go pro, and their partnership with ESL and ESEA, alongside these new partnerships, should give amateurs an incentive to sign up.

This isn't the first big partnership for SK Gaming, as they just recently entered a strategic partnership with Razer, but all three should benefit from Mountain Dew expanding their brands' reach. Will we see more brands partnering with esports teams in the future?
