The League of Legends European Championship has been on a roll recently in regards to announcing its sponsors for the 2021 season. We've seen Kia return, Logitech G and many others, but today, we now know that KitKat will be back as a main sponsor, following last year's trial season.

"We're so happy to be signing on again with KitKat as one of our main partners for 2021," said Alban Dechelotte, Head of Sponsorships & New Business EU Esports at Riot Games in a press release. "We had such a fruitful time together in 2020, with KitKat helping us to deliver some top level content for our fans."

KitKat will once again be asking players to 'have a break' in LEC broadcasts, and on top of this, KitKat branding will again appear within Summoner's Rift (the League of Legends competitive map) through in-game banners. KitKat will also be offering various exclusive drops throughout the season for fans to keep an eye out for.

"After our successful partnership in 2020, we are stoked about the continuation in 2021 and everything that comes with a Main Partner level, enabling more and bigger opportunities to bring fun, entertainment, and breaks into the community," says Georg Fischer, Marketing Manager for KitKat in Europe, Middle East and North Africa. We prepared a lot of content and actions for LEC fans hoping to bring value to everyone who loves the Riot universe."

The LEC kicks-off tomorrow at 4pm GMT / 5pm CET. You can be sure to catch all the action over here.
