If you follow Call of Duty esports you'll know that OpTic Gaming, a side that's had a lot of success in the past and has won a lot of championships, struggled and found little success in the season for Call of Duty: WWII though. Now the Green Wall has found their stride again though, as they won the title at the CWL Las Vegas event; the first major event of the Black Ops 4 season.

They won $100,000 USD as a result, and their player Brandon 'Dashy' Otell particularly stood out, with his impressive stats making him MVP for the event. In pool play OpTic had 12 wins and just the one loss, and stayed entirely unbeaten to move past the likes of Splyce, Luminosity, and eUnited, the latter of which they faced again in the grand final.

What's more is that OpTic have earned a place in next year's CWL Pro League, along with Luminosity, eUnited, and Splyce, which is perhaps more valuable than the rest of the prizes. The rest of the teams will now have to fight it out for the other 12 places, which is what made Las Vegas such an important tournament.

Will OpTic dominate the rest of the season?
