Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment have announced that Michael Prindiville has been appointed as CEO for their esports organisation Team Dignitas, and what's more is that Prindiville has helped them acquire the world's number one Rocket League team.
"Michael's experience in working on some of esports' most successful events and the creation of award-winning esports content make him an ideal leader for Team Dignitas," Team Dignitas Chairman Greg Richardson said. "The signing of this elite roster of Rocket League players further demonstrates our interest to pursue the world's most competitive gamers and promising titles."
"I'm thrilled to join such a storied esports organization as Team Dignitas and look forward to building something truly special," Team Dignitas CEO Michael Prindiville said. "We will operate with long-term patience and short-term speed to capitalize on game-changing opportunities, such as what we just did in our signing of the best Rocket League team in the world. With a strategic plan intact and the support of one of the most revered sports and entertainment companies in the world, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, I'm confident Team Dignitas can reach the pinnacle of esports."
The team is formed of the reigning champions of the Rocket League Championship Series, featuring Jos 'ViolentPanda' van Meurs; Pierre 'Turbopolsa' Silfver; and Alexandre 'Kaydop' Courant, all of which used to play for Gale Force Esports, and should do well in the RLCS Season 5 finals in London next month.
Can the team win in Season 5?
