Danish esports team North haven't always been able to hit the heights they aspire to in competitive CS:GO, but they've added another trophy to their cabinet recently, winning the DreamHack Open Tours after producing strong performances not only the group stages, but the grand final as well.

In Group B with them were HellRaisers, Team Envy, and The Imperial, and after a close 16-14 win against The Imperial and a slightly more convincing one against Envy, they sailed into the semi-finals with a 2-0 record, where they faced Group A second-place finishers Gambit Esports. While things didn't exactly go their way in the first map, North bounced back to get two back-to-back map wins on Dust II and Overpass to set up a match with HellRaisers.

This grand final wasn't as close as their semi-final performance though, as Mirage was won 16-12 before a 16-9 victory on Inferno, meaning that North could call themselves champions after all and take home the $50,000 USD, placing this trophy alongside last year's DreamHack Montreal title which they also won.

We'll be able to see North back in action in the StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5 competition, starting on May 28, where they'll start off by facing Mousesports. Can they carry this good form into the next competition?
