Blizzard and Twitch last night announced a partnership whereby the streaming platform will get exclusive rights to broadcast the first two seasons of the Overwatch League, which kicks of today (January 10) in Los Angeles at the Blizzard Arena.

The deal extends across the globe (with the exception of China) and the Overwatch channel on Twitch will host regular contests, playoffs, and championship matches, and it was confirmed that there'll be coverage in English, French, and Korean.

It was also confirmed that those who engage with the broadcasts regularly could be set to receive exclusive in-game items, although the details on this were pretty thin and we're told more information regarding these rewards will land at some point in the future.

Gamereactor has a team on the ground at the Blizzard Arena as the competition prepares to get started, so stay tuned for news and interviews direct from LA.
