The first season of the Gfinity Elite Series is due to begin tomorrow, and we now have a new bunch of details about the event, which will see eight teams and 160 players competing in Rocket League, CS:GO, and Street Fighter V.

The event will be hosted by Tom Deacon, Yasmin Evans, and Arielle Free, and will see the Gfinity Esports Arena in London host esports action every weekend of the nine week schedule, which is as follows for each weekend:

o Fridays: Street Fighter V - 6:00pm - 10:00pm
o Saturdays: CS:GO 10:00am - 10:00pm
o Sundays: Rocket League 12:00pm - 6:00pm

Each of the three leagues will exist separate from each other, and after each team has played off against each other once, the top four of those will progress to playoff spots. There will then be two semi-finals, and then a grand final for each, where teams will compete for their slice of the £225,00 prize pool.

On top of this, Gfinity will for the first time in esports be running a franchise championship "for the overall winners across the entire tournament."
