The David Beckham-backed, London-based esports organisation, Guild Esports has announced that it has signed a ten-year property lease for its upcoming headquarters. Set to be located in the Shoreditch area of London, the facility is slated to be 9,831 square feet in size, and will serve as the organisation's head office and central hub for its esports and Guild Academy stars, when it opens in the second quarter of 2022.

"I am really excited by the new global headquarters for Guild, which also sees the creation of a new home for the Guild Academy," said David Beckham. "This marks the next important stage in building Guild's position as one of the world's top esports organisations and it will be a focal point for our players, creators and our many global fans."

The headquarters is also set to bring in a range of commercial, branding and sponsorship opportunities for Guild, with the naming rights for the facility being at the forefront and currently being discussed.

In terms of how the facility will be structured, the press release mentions that the facility will span three floors, have a rooftop terrace, and will include esports training rooms, equipment, and gaming spaces, as well as a physio and psyche room to help support the mental health of Guild's players.

"The creation of an iconic location for our Guild Academy and headquarters in London's hottest technology hub will serve as a beacon and inspiration to our global fanbase, content creators, sponsors and other stakeholders," said Kal Hourd, Guild's chief executive. "In addition to nurturing new talent and providing state of the art training grounds for our pro teams, we also expand upon brand recognition and unlock a range of commercialisation opportunities, which we look forward to realising in due course."
