A few weeks ago, the Toronto Ultra revealed that it would be retaining its 2021 Call of Duty League team for the 2022 season, and following that announcement, we assumed that we probably wouldn't be hearing all that much about the Ultra until the new season kicked off.

However, despite coming second in the 2021 postseason, falling to the Atlanta Faze in the Grand Finals, the Ultra has added another member to its active roster, in Charlie "Hicksy" Hicks.

Hickey joins the team as a substitute, and fits into the team alongside Anthony "Methodz" Zinni, who is already regarded as one of the roster's substitutes. Previously known for his time playing on Elevate Esports, where he competed in the European Call of Duty Challengers 2021 tournament, this marks the first CDL team that Hicksy has joined in his professional career.
